A robust African tetra with beautiful finnage–extra long in the male, especially the dorsal fin and the extensions of the middle rays in the caudal. The colors are iridescent, primarily blue and bronze, with green and violet shimmering as the lighting changes. PREFERS A LARGER AQUARIUM AND TO BE KEPT IN GROUPS OF 6 +

This is the most popular of the African tetras. They are relatively expensive, so people often buy only a couple, but they are truly at ease only in large schools, and a dozen or two of these fish in a long tank makes a magnificent display. It is difficult to describe their beauty, or to capture it faithfully in a photo.
They’re active swimmers, and each twist and turn changes the angle of the light off the highly reflective scales, making the metallic colors kaleidoscope through the rainbow. As each fish moves independently, the effect with a large group is spectacular.
Another appeal is their elaborate finnage. The dorsal fin of a mature male may reach back to the tail.
Acclimating fish:
- If received after 24-48 hours, slow drip acclimating fish to quarantine tank.
- If received after 2+ days, equalize water temp by floating bag. Try not to pour bag water into aquarium, drain over net externally and drop fish into quarantine tank.

Refund Policy
If the product is found to be faulty within the first 7 days of purchase, we will either replace or refund once suitable evidence is provided in the form of images or video.
Claims resulting from negligence, misuse or incorrect operation of products will be dismissed.
Goods that have been received damaged from the shipping process need to be reported within 30 minutes of being signed for, suitable evidence is required in the form of images or video.
We do not accept any returns on any products that are not to the buyers liking.
If your product has a defect which falls within the warranty period, we will assist you in your claims process by providing supplier channels or contact details if we are unable to assist.
In the event that you wish to return your product, the buyer remains responsible for the shipping fee in order to get the product back to us.
