AQUARIO Neo Unit Flex (Set of 5 pipes)
50 cm’s in length with a 4mm diameter for the supply of CO2 in the aquarium. These pipes are made of polycarbonate, making them stronger and more flexible than acrylic pipes. The pipes remain transparent when compared to conventional pipes that eventually become cloudy in the long run. Through selective heating, the tube can easily be bent into the desired shape. Black O ring material is included in the scope of delivery that supports the diameter of the pipe during the “heat and bending” process.
APPLICATION
Inside the package, are five 50cm pipes. When heat is applied the pipe becomes flexible. It can then be adjusted to any form you need in your aquarium.
- Insert the Black O ring material (rubber strip) into the polycarbonate pipe.
- Heat the pipe with a flame and rotate at a distance between 1-3 cm.
- Only once the polycarbonate acrylic has softened can it be curved. The rubber strip protects the inner diameter of the pipe when bending.
- The previously inserted rubber band can now be removed again.
- If the flame is too close to the pipe, black soot. Please keep the distance named above.
- Rotate the pipe when heating
- As soon as the material is softened, act quickly to prevent the material from cooling while adjusting.
- When aiming for a 180° curve, it is best to move the flame back and forth for a while so that a slightly wider piece of the polycarbonate tube becomes soft.
- If you want to bend the pipe around your aquarium tank’s wall, you do not necessarily require two bends. Simply make use of a 180° curve and hold both pipe’s ends to the wall of the aquarium. The 180° will slowly expand.
BEND
- Insert rubber cord into the pipe
- Heat by turning the pipe to the width of 1 ~ 2cm of the bending point
- Bend the pipe against the top, or any part outside of the aquarium to its desired shape
- Remove the rubber tube after 20 seconds setting
- Connect two or more Neo-Flex pipes with standard airline tubing
